"Hello Handsome, where have you been all my life." Arabella said, in a big teasing grin on her face. She heard that silly pick up line, in a movie she watched the other day, and wanted to use it in normal day conversations. This seemed like a good time to try.

“Just waiting for our paths to cross,” Carter said with a smile. “One look and I knew that you were worth the wait.” His eyes lit up, waiting for what she would say in reply.

"Listen to you, a smooth talker. I like it." Arabella said, with a big grin on her face, as she went on to say. "Care if I join you for dinner?" She asked, with a big grin on her face.

“I would love to have you join me,” Carter replied with a grin. “I was just about to ask you to sit down so you could tell me about your day.”

"you want to talk about my day?" Arabella asked, with a big smile on her face. That was sweet, but why she wondered. She would prefer to talk about anything else.

“Only if you have something you wanted to share,” Carter said with a smile. “I want to be hear to listen if you need me to.”

"It was like any other day, do you have something to share?" Arabella asked, maybe he was trying to hint to her, that he wanted to share something.

“It was a pretty typical day,” Carter said. “I did run some tests for the current case that the crew is working on but nothing came of that.”

"I think that is a good thing, right?" Arabella asked, with a concerned look on her face. She was curious about the tests he was conducting.

“It ruled out what did not happen,” Carter explained. “What was thought was blood on a fragment of cloth ended up being something else.”

"Well its a start, what is the cloth fragment ended up being? You mention it was something else. What is that something?" Arabella asked, with a serious look on her face.

“It was a red sauce like you would find in ravioli or spaghetti,” Carter explained. “When it dried it appeared dark in color like blood. It is being tested to see how recent it could have gotten stuck in the chair.”

"How did the sauce get to the shirt? Was it caused by the incident, or prior to the incident?" Arabella asked, as her scientific curosity started to get the better part of her.

“That is a good question,” Carter agreed. “They were running a test to see if they could determine a time frame for the stain. “

"Did they say, how long that would take?" Arabella asked, curious to see if they had time to continue with this make shift date. She did not want him sneaking off during the middle of it.

“The results won’t be in until my shift tomorrow,” Carter explained. “I am to handle it first thing when I come in tomorrow.”

"Good, so we have the night a head of us. Glad I do not have to come between you and work." Arabella said, with a big grin.

“Oh no,” Carter shook his head. “I am all yours this evening. I have been looking forward to spending this time with you.”

"All mine, that could be dangerous Cole." Arabella said, with a big grin on her face. She was having fun teasing him a bit.

“Maybe I like living on the edge when I am with you,” Carter grinned in return. She made him laugh and forget the things around them.

"Is that how you see, a wild girl living a dangerous life on the edge as it were?" Arabella asked, with a big smile on her face.

“I see that you want to live life to the fullest,” Carter replied with a smile. “At the end of the day you don’t want to sit back and say what if...”

"I hate those two words." Arabella said, then she went on. "Those two words can cripple a person. And you are right, we should live life to the fullest."

“They can be a two edged sword,” Carter nodded. “It isn’t good to doubt decisions I meant more as not being afraid to put yourself out there.”

"I don't see how it can be a two edge sword, those two words what if can be the most destructive and devastating words ever said to a person. Those two words can bring down any man or woman, those two words can make anybody re evaluate any decision. Those two words can make others lose faith in you, I don't think people truly understand how powerful those two words are." Arabella said hoping that he understood. she truly hated those two words.

“I never honestly thought of it that way,” Carter said after a moment. “You make a strong point, I think I’ll abstain from using it again.”

This is not a court of law." Arabella said with a big grin on her face, you can hear her laughing deep down in her gut.

Carter shook his head and laughed. “You really like getting me going, don’t you?”

"Are you suggesting, that you do not like it?" Arabella asked, with a big teasing grin on her face, as she slowly licked her lips. She did this to tease him a little bit. She was trying to say, without saying it. It could be beneficial to let me tease you.

“Oh I really like it,” Carter grinned. “I think it’s really cute and I hope you never quit.”

"If you are lucky, and keep my interest." She said, playing a little cat annd mouse with him. She loved teasing him, and seeing how he responds.

“Oh I intend to keep your interest,” Carter said with a smile. “I will change things up every now and then.”

"I like the sound of that." Arabella said, with a warm smile on her face. She was curious, on the how and when. But she knew, that would come in time.

“At the moment,” Carter said, his eyes lit up. “I am just happy that we met and are getting along so well.”!

"Me too, question now is. What do we do next?" Arabella asked, with a big smile on her face.

“What would you like to do?” Carter asked her. He didn’t want to come across too forward and he wasn’t certain what she meant.

"Did you forget you are all mine tonight, you said so yourself." Arabella reminded him. "I am not obligated to divuldge my intentions to you." Arabella said, in a big teasing voice.

“Then lead on my lady,” Carter said with a grin. “I am at your mercy.”

"At my mercy. I like that idea." Arabella said, as she started to walk down into the corridors that left the mess hall. The scene starts to fade away.

Carter walked beside her smiling as he looked forward to their evening.
