Mission: The Sins of History
Location: Interrogation room 1 - Deck 10 - USS Artemis
Timeline: MD001 1030

Siadra had another person she wished to ask questions of, she had looked at the manifest to see who could have been present during the Breen attack. She found another person, the woman's name was Cassandra Frost. Tapping on her commbadge, she sent a message to the one in question.

=/\= Miss Frost, this is Lieutenant Molaur, is there anyway or anywhere I can meet with you? Please let me know.=/\=

Walking between her quarters and the security office headed back to work, Cassie paused for a moment when she heard the Lieutenant ask to meet up, “Lieutenant Molaur? Oh yea, the new forensics specialist” she said to herself before tapping the combadge she’d been issues with.

=/\= Frost to Molaur, meet me in interrogation room 1=/\= she said, changing her course to head for the nearest turbolift.

=/\=I will meet you there.=/\= Siadra responded back. And made her way to the security level. She stepped inside and started looking around taking note of the setup then headed for interrogation room one.

Waiting inside the interrogation room, Cassie had prepared a pot of tea on a bench burner. From what she knew, this Lieutenant Molaur should be their new forensics officer which made Cassie wonder why she would want to talk to her. Well, in the mean time, she had also brought a few padds with basic Starfleet protocols on them for her to refresh herself on.

Into the interrogation room Siadra stepped, her eyes sweeping across the room then stopping on Cassandra. "Ah tea in an interrogation room, fascinating I've not had a tea party in an interrogation room before." moving forward towards where Cassandra was at.

“Well we’re not using them right now and I figured why not. Also couldn’t really think of where else to meet up” Cassie said as she poured each of them a cup of the brewed tea. “Hope you like herbal tea, it kept me going after I ran out of coffee years ago and I’ve never looked back”

"Herbal tea is just fine." Siadra answered with a smile, and moving to take a seat. "I am wondering, were you here on the ship when the Breen attacked the station?" picking up her tea cup and holding it in her hands, as she felt the heat of the tea warm up her hands.

"I was. In fact I was on the bridge assisting with tactical" Cassie answered, taking a sip from her cup, "why do you ask? Curious about the Breen? Being a senior officer, I'm sure you have more access to the ship's logs than I do"

An exploratory sip of her tea, then Siadra responded. "Actually I've not accessed that ships logs. In fact on the way here the ship I was on had gotten involved with the fight with the Breen. They had come to help out the USS Paramount, the flagship of SB50 to fend off the Breen. It was rather interesting to see the varied ships engaged in that battle. Klingon, Andorian, Cardassian, Federation, Ferengi, El-Aurian. and I even caught sight of a couple of ships from the Dominion, going after the Breen. With one of the previous hosts having been a historian, he's been urging me to get people's perceptions from their own experience with that battle."

After listening to Siadra's reasoning, Cassie gave a shrug, "what's to tell, it was like any other battle. Though it is true that the Breen are a rather unique enemy with their energy dampening weapons" She explained, thinking a little out loud, "is there something in particular you, or rather your previous host wants to know about?"

Siadra mentally checked with her former hosts and then shook her head. "All that they were wanting to know was your experience. Where were you during that battle?"

“I was on the bridge at the tactical station. I wasn’t the one actually operating the weapons, I was more of an assistant if you will”

"Who were you with on the bridge? And were you worried about the fight?" Siadra queried, "And how long have you been on the Artimus?" her mind filled with a lot of questions.

Cassie paused to think for a second, “well, I was with Lieutenant Benson at tactical to start with, then as the fight went on I ended up assisting Commander Miller with tactical.” She said, choosing to answer each question in turn, “was I worrieed about the fight? Definitely, it’s the Breen. Why wouldn’t you be worried. And as for how long I’ve been here for, a few months I think”

Siadra gave a nod. "I was worried when I was on the Cardassian Ship which got involved in the battle. It took some damage, and thank goodness for the shielding and the armor that the ship had, where I had been staying in a photon torpedo had hit near my temporary quarters. It had knocked me off my feet! Then I went back to continue to watch the battle"

“Yea you can get thrown around a little during a battle, especially when you’re manning the security stations. They don’t have seats” Cassie said, as she took a sip of her tea, “so, why did you choose this ship? From what I’ve heard It’s not exactly the safest ship in the fleet”

"I am here as I was requested to come to this ship. Therefore here I am." Siadra giving a smile, then sipped at her tea. "Look sure it may not be the safest ship but it is unique, and we will be out chasing down crimes and solving mysteries of which I do like."

Cassie gave a head nod, “an interesting perspective. I was asked to be on this ship due to my……let’s say previous experience in the field”

Siadra gave a nod at that. "I have no clue as to what you did before, so I know nothing about you except for what we are discussing right here and now. If you want to tell me what you are referring to then by all means sure lets talk."

Taking a deep breath in, Cassie thought about it for a few mins rs before slowly releasing her held breath, “I was a bounty hunter, mainly working in and around Orion space taking whatever contracts looked doable and offered a decent price”

"And? It seems that where there is work, you worked. I have worked with a bounty hunter from time to time in one of my previous lives. They have the information when tracking down clues to an item that is needed to be found." Siadra remarked then took a drink of her tea.

Cassie was surprised by Siadra's reaction. She was expecting most Starfleet Officers to look down on her or at least judge her for flouting the rules of Starfleet, But this officer didn't seem to care all that much about it, "um.....yea I guess. I tracked down more than a few bounties before I trod on the wrong toes. How did you come to work with a Bounty Hunter?"

"Well the host who was a historian as well as a curator, he wanted to find a former assistant which had worked for him. Said assistant had obsconded with an item which was to be put into the archives of the museum, there was no trace of said thief so, he looked for a bounty hunter to go after the thief. It worked well, the item recovered and both bounty hunter and the curator were handsomely paid." Siadra giving a nod.

“Well at least it sounds like your previous host paid well” Cassie said, starting to get a little more curious about this Officer, “exactly how many hosts have you been through?”

"This is my fourth host." came the calm reply, though there was a twinkle in Siadra's eyes. "Why do you ask? My first host lived to be a ripe old age of 140." Siadra added.

“I haven’t had a great deal of experience with your species before so I’m a little curious that’s all” Cassie said as she lent forward to place her forearms onto the table, “so these hosts you take, are they still conscious while they are host to you or does the implantation process suppress the host’s personality to prevent rejection?”

"There is a process that can suppress the previous hosts. However there are those who prefer not to have that done. They are conscious. It is an intergration process. All of my hosts have been picked by me. My first host I waited for the first one. I guess I am particular. I've been around since 1934, I stayed in the birth waters until a suitable host came along." was Molaur's answer.

“From what I’ve heard, hosts volunteer for special training before they are allowed to be considered for joining, is this true?”

"We train hard to excel to become a trill host. I actually hadn't thought I would be in consideration, though, I had met Keema when I was young. That is me Siadra being the host. She actually had questioned me as to what I wanted to do when I got older, of course I did say I wanted to be a scientist. I also said I wanted to solve mysteries. My parents had taken me to a museum that had a curator there, so many nice things there, historical. I heard a tale of the curator who had started that museum and how he had died in sad way, someone had gone into the museum where he was at, he was attacked and injured severely. So well they had to transfer Molaur to another host, Keema. They never did find out who or why he was attacked." Siadra replied. "I saw his image and I wondered why he would have been attacked, he was a lovely and nice man."

"sounds quite mysterious. I'd like to hear the story one day." Cassie said, sitting back in her chair, "so your host's personality is absorbed by the symbiote when the joining happens. Can you join with any species or only trill?"

"That is a question that I've not asked anyone about, now I have to find out. However, Molaur wouldn't want to be bonded with just anyone, he is very particular as to who he would be." Siadra answered honestly.

"well, what if you're trapped somewhere and your host is severely injured? Could the symbiote be saved by implanting it into anyone else"

Siadra thought it over for a moment thinking back on the history of Trills, then she nodded. "It had been known to happen. Commander William Riker had been a temporary host for a symbiote. I had to think about that. And it can be done for an extreme emergency."

"well it's good to know it's an option. Even if it is only in an emergency situation." Cassie said as she sat back in her chair and took a sip from her now lukewarm cup of tea, "would hate to lose you both out in the field because we couldn't find an appropriate host"

"Why thank you, I am glad to hear you don't want to lose me." giving a bit smile. She finished her tea and set the cup down. "I've taken up enough of your time for now and thank you for talking with me."
