Mission: The Sins of History
Location: Chief Science Officer's Office - Deck 11 - USS Artemis
Timeline: MD002 0800 hrs

Fenora knew that first impressions were important and so made sure her uniform was neat and her hair combed before she headed for Lieutenant Molaur's office. She wasn't nervous, exactly. Vulcans rarely were--at least, that's what her parents used to tell her. But she couldn't help a small jolt of nervous excitement as she paused outside the chief's door. She took a deep breath and rang the chime. She knew that once she'd met the other woman, she would be fine. It was just that this assignment was one she was excited about and hoped it would live up to her expectations.

The chime of the door brought Siadra out of her inner discussion with the other hosts, whose voices she could hear.

"Enter!" Siadra called out, rising to her feet, the chief scientist moved from behind the desk. Siadra had her rich medium brown hair swept back into a loose pony tail. Today she wished to only have that style. The hair had a natural curl to it.

Sidara hadn't been expecting anyone as of yet so was curious as to who had come to the door. "Hello, I am Lieutenant Siadra Molaur. Chief of Science, what can I do for you?"

She wasn't sure why, but Fenora gave the woman a Vulcan bow in greeting. "I'm Fenora. I'm your new Forensic Anthropologist."

"Ah, welcome aboard, I am glad to have another person on my science team." Siadra giving a smile, she got a slightly blank expression in her eyes as the other voices conversed inside her mind. Oh she is interesting. Keema stated.

"So... is this your first assignment? Sorry if I seem to be a little distracted, had a close encounter of a bug kind still do not know where it had come from." Siadra said apologetically.

"It's my third posting since graduating. Before Starfleet I spent a number of years at university." She could have just gone to SOTS, but she didn't know much about starships or Starfleet and the Academy gave her a broad base of knowledge for her Starfleet career.

"This is my first posting on a starship, my first assignment was DS-9 that is about all my experience so I am enjoying being here. With the exception of the bug biting me." Siadra shuddered. "So, want to take a look around?" giving a smile.

"Absolutely." Fenora smiled. "I'm looking forward to working here. I...got a little carried away with my education, so I'm qualified in a number of fields. Most of them involve the past. What is your expertise?" She knew what her title was, but she was curious if her boss had more areas of expertise as well. "Captain Kidd showed me my lab. I...ran into him when I first arrived."

Siadra gave a nod. "My expertise" she gave pause to consider an answer to Fenora's question. "if you consider what skills I had learned from the other hosts, it would be History, antiques where they came from. For me the newest host, Molaur is most interested in learning more as per my chosen field, searching out the why's and wherefores of the crime as well as what had taken place. Science opens up a lot of possibilities. " Siadra stated.

"It does at that. Interesting that you mention crime and antiques. How often are the two of them involved together?" It was always possible, but from what she'd seen so far, most crimes did not involve antiquities or history.

"There are more than what some believe. The second host had been attacked and critically injured, that Molaur had to be moved to another host. He was attacked during a robbery at the place he was curator of. The new host the host before me, Keema was her name. She was attacked and dumped somewhere, left for dead, but she managed to make her way to where Molaur could be transferred to me. Thing of it is, the identity of those who attacked them both, hasn't been discovered yet. There is a mystery to be solved there some day. "Siadra responded.

Fenora raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Were the two attacks related?" It was a possibility and worth asking.

"I am not certain. The thought had crossed my mind. I just don't know for certain and it will take some time to gather memories from my other hosts." giving a slight sigh. "Only time will tell while I gather clues as to my own case."

Fen nodded. "An interesting puzzle. I'm not even sure a Vulcan could help with that. Meditation might help you with memories from previous hosts, but that might be something only your people can figure out." While Vulcan mind melds worked well, they were limited in many ways. "Or maybe a counselor who is also a joined Trill might have other suggestions. I wish you well in solving this particular mystery."

"Thank you, it’s going to be a bit of a challenge, I feel." Siadra commented. "And I may end up from time to time, bounce off some clues that come up." rubbing one hand with the other.

"I'm always willing to listen," Fen replied, noting the hand rubbing. Stress? "I'm only a forensic psychologist, which wouldn't be of much help, but I will be around." She shrugged. "Sometimes it helps to talk to a neutral party."

"You may actually be a big help once, I guess I am ready?" Siadra giving a half smile. "I am worried about what might come out in my pursuit on this matter. Though, it is important that I do find out sometime in the future."

"Do you have the luxury of time?" Fen wasn't so sure, but it was a question only her boss could answer.

"I do not know if I do or not. All I can do is just move forward and take care of things as they come. It is also a matter of time when someone may end up figuring out, who the new host is for Molaur. It’s happened before." drawing in a breath Siadra let it out slowly, her cheeks having puffed out like a balloon would do when filled with air, then deflated like a balloon losing air. "Well shall we get to work and see what has come in for us to examine?"

"Yes." Fenora smiled. "Sometimes the best thing we can do is get to work."
