Mission: The Hunt Begins
Location: Lounge - Deck 5 - USS Artemis
Timeline: MD004 1200 hrs

Siadra had gotten her belongings stowed away in her quarters. AKA plopping what she had gotten from the station upon her bed. Right now Siadra was interested in finding out about the ship she would be serving on and what kind of condition the Artemis was in. After all, Siadra had heard the tale of the ship being caught up in that very same battle the Cardassian ship had gotten into.

Once again the voices of the former hosts were bugging her to get information about what all had taken place. Once again Siadra lost that battle as they all agreed with each other.

"Well for all that's worth, I'm going to go find the messhall and go get something to eat there." Siadra told her inner voices.

Just don't forget to look around and make mental notes as to any damage that had taken place on the ship. they all chimed in.

"Just please let me look on my own." Siadra groaned. Then left her quarters and headed to the turbo lift and to Deck 5. On her way there, Siadra did make notes as to damage to the ship. A slight sigh, thinking of what could have taken place on this ship. The lift opened its door and Siadra stepped out, walking towards the mess hall. She noticed that the lounge was close and Siadra decided to look inside.

The place looked inviting and a place to actually be able to relax, stepping inside she looked with approval, just walking around. There weren't many people in there and then she heard one of the voices in her head, it was Keema.

Siadra, that man in the corner there. Reading a book, please go over there.

Siadra looked in the direction that Keema had stated, seeing a rather distinguished looking man, she went there. Keema seemed to be rather excited, and Siadra was just wondering what that was all about.

Could it be him? Keema questioned.

Who or what are you talking about? Siadra asked making her way to where the handsome distinguished man was. Keema didn't answer. Once there Siadra just stood there, feeling hesitant about saying anything.

Rice was engrossed in a book, deep in the novel's storyline when something told him he was being watched. He closed the book as he looked up to see a Trill standing over him, "Lieutenant," he smiled, "something I can do for you? I mean, you are standing there just looking at me, like..." he smiled, "Abernathy Rice," he paused hoping she would reply.

Siadra eyes widened as Keema squealed out in her mind It is him!

As Siadra stood there frozen for a moment or two.

Good heavens child let me take over. Keema stated.

"Hello Archimedes, fancy seeing you here." Siadra stated, with a bit of a smile. "What book are you reading today?"

"As a matter of fact, I am reading," he turned the book over but stopped mid-sentence. "No one has called me that in a very, very long time," he stood up noticing the spots; it could only be one thing. "Keema," he shouted as he embraced the figure before he even knew it was safe. He pulled away, "I mean Lieutenant," he coughed, "my apologies, I shouldn't have done that."

Siadra laughed, "I don't mind at all. I am known as Siadra now. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." she giggled. "Now um what was that nickname you called me.. Spinster.. no that wasn't your style. And you are too gentlemanly to call me old woman." then she paused. "Clotho, one of the three fates." Sidra wanting to take a seat.

"I must," he paused, clearly he was surprised, "I mean, I don't..." He just stood there stammering over his words for a bit, "this is a bit awkward, I'm just going to sit down and ..." he looked at her, "I mean, what are you doing here?"

"I am here to solve cases, and bring justice to those who can't speak for themselves, to find out who dun it." A sad look became evident in Siadra's eyes. "Keema, the host you were familiar with, well, she died eight years ago. And it wasn't of natural causes. If it weren't for Keema's sheer stubborness, I don't think we'd be talking in the here and now." Siadra stated in a quiet tone.

"I think stubborn might be an understatement," Abe chuckled, "she was a unique individual." He gestured to the empty chair, "please, have a seat."

Siadra took a seat on the empty chair. "She woke up half drowned dragged her behind to get help. Just sheer willpower, the woman was very very determined, not wanting to die. Well not yet until she got help. Keema doesn't remember how she ended up where she was. All she knew was that she needed to get herself to where Molaur could be saved." A tear trickled down her cheek, as Siadra went back through that memory of Keema. In fact Siadra placed a hand upon her chest, almost gasping for air.

"It's ok, Lieutenant," Abe reassured her, "we don't need to relive those memories. "I am just happy to have met Molaur again, Siadra Molaur." He found it odd that he was pleased to have meet the newest host of Molaur and equally odd that she was mourning the loss of Molaur as well. He supposed this was something Trills had grown accustomed too; perhaps this was the reason for the reuniting with close contacts. He brushed that thought off.

"Sorry, at times, I have dreams of what happened to Keema. I met her when I was young just before I entered the academy, and she was a really lovely woman. She even showed me her shop. It was beautiful with all the fabrics, and the clothing she made." Siadra regained her composure.

"Keema was a talented individual," Abe smiled, "I am just glad that her mark on the universe didn't end with her passing but carried on in you," he popped a chip in his mouth. After he finished eating he gave a wicked smile, "no pressure of course."

"Oh no pressure indeed." Siadra gave a bit of a smirk. "They are rather active in my head at times. Very, opinionated. " she laughed. "I think they have definitely had some influence in my life besides me being me. Other than that, I am still very surprised in seeing you here. Did someone purposely open the way for some of the people I know to be here? I ran into someone who I had attended the academy with, Lieutenant Jonathan Corwin. "

"I believe older humans called it a small world," Abe replied, "fate has a way of playing games with us when we least expect it. I would say, enjoy the friendships that are already established. Life out there in space, serving aboard a starship well," he paused, "I think it requires all the friends you can muster."

"What you say is so true and I am so glad that I am here on this ship with you and Corwin. We are probably going to be needing to form a team with what we'll be facing and working on." A pause as it seemed like she was being nudged from with in, then Siadra asked, "A question has been brought up, do you, would you, like something made for you at some point and time? Keema was wondering if you would like that."

"Keema was always a bit pushy," Abe replied, "and no, "he smiled warmly, "I think you will have a lot on your hands, and adding more to your plate wouldn't be a good idea. At least when that more comes in the form of a request from the XO. But, I do appreciate the offer."

Siadra chuckled, then said rather wryly, "Yes she can be abit like that. And she says thank you." Siadra looked around giving a slight sigh, turning her gaze back to Abe, "Well now that we've become acquainted and you becoming reacquainted somewhat with Keema, I believe that it is time for me to go. Sometime I hope we can talk a bit more as time goes by. With you getting to know me, as Siadra. However for now, I'll leave you to get back to reading." Siadra giving a bit of a smile.

"Take care," Abe smiled, "Keema."
